His Grace Salika Dasa

His Grace Salika Dasa Adhikari was born Shamusideen Atanda Lasisi is the Temple President of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) on the Plateau and Vice-Chairman National Council of the Movement in Nigeria. His Grace Salika Dasa is a Comparative Religionist and specialist in Interfaith Dialogue. He has studied and received several certificates and awards in fields such as Conflict Resolution, Conflict Mediation, Leadership, Interreligious Dialogue, Peace Development, Human Psychology, Spiritual Psychology, Inter-government Mediation, and Dialogue. He has participated in several courses from top institutions locally and internationally including King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, KAICIID, Launching Leaders, Mayapur Institute of Higher Education, MIHE, ISKCON Education Ministry, IME, and Institute for Applied Spiritual Technology, IFAST. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Education Development, USA, CILED.
Salika Dasa has travelled and is a spiritual consultant to many high-ranking members of the public, various celebrities, chiefs, and high court justices. He has met and worked with a few past and present world leaders, including the United States and Indian Ambassadors to Nigeria, Ambassador Anil Trigunayat, Ambassador Mahesh Sachdev, Ambassador Mary Beth Leonard among others. In 1999 he was posted as Temple President to oversee the activities of ISKCON in Plateau State and coordinate neighbouring states in the North Central and North East, a position he has held till date. In the last20 years, he has lectured at several universities including the University of Jos as a Guest Lecturer at the Department of Religious Studies on Hinduism as an aspect of World Religions.
In recognition of his contribution to Peace, Education, and Development, he has received awards from several United Nations-affiliated consultative forums. He is a Universal Peace Federation Ambassador, and a member of organizations like United Religions Initiative's Baraza Leadership, and the World Parliament of Religions. He has organized and participated in several interfaith programs, published books, journals, and magazines, featured on several television programs as a panellist on topics ranging from religion and peace development to conflict resolution. He has also presented papers at local and international seminars on varied topics on religion, world peace development, and environmental degradation.
