Dr. Petar Gramatikoff, PhD.

Dr. Petar Grigorov Gramatikov holds a PhD in Theology, specializing in General Church History from the Orthodox Theological Faculty, Veliko Tarnovo University "St. st. Cyril and Methodius". His Doctoral Thesis was on "The Council of Philippopolis and Arianism in the East". From 2010 to 2011, he served as Hon. Assistant in "History of Christianity", at the Department of Orthodox Church Music, Chair "Theory and History of Music" at the Faculty Pedagogy of Music/Academy of Music Dance and Fine Arts. He is currently, from 2009 to date, an Expert in Religious Questions, at the Directorate of Social Policy, Municipality of Plovdiv, in Bulgaria. From 2008 to 2009, he was Hon. Assistant of Biblical Archaeology and Biblical Hebrew, at the Faculty of Philosophy and History, University of Plovdiv "PaisiyHilendarski".
Dr. Petar Grigorov Gramatikov has held several other important positions. These include serving as Secretary of the Diocese of Metropolitanate of Veliko Tarnovo, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, from August 2000 - August 2002, Director of the Department for Culture and Education - Metropolitanate of Plovdiv, from 1994 to 1995 and then in 1999 to 2000, Teacher in OldTestament (topics in the area of Biblical Archaeology. Introduction and interpretation of the Holy Scripture of the Old Testament) at Theological Seminary "St. st. Cyril and Methodius", Plovdiv, from 1993 to 1994 as well as Honorary Assistant at the Chair of OldTestament (Conducting lectures in the area of Biblical HebrewLanguage, Biblical Archaeology. Introduction and interpretation of the Holy Scripture of the Old Testament) Theological Faculty of Sofia University "St. Clement of Ochrida", from 1992 to 1995.
In 1996, Dr. Petar Grigorov Gramatikov co-founded, and currently serves as Chairman of the "Dialogue Centre - Bulgaria", Plovdiv, Bulgaria (society for inter-church and interfaith dialogue and research on neo-sectarian and cult front-organisations). He previously was Editor-in-chief, from 2007 to 2009 of a periodical Director of quarterly edition- "Club Orpheus" magazine/"ORPHEUS CLUB Wellness" PLC, Plovdiv. From 1996 to 2017, he was Member of the International Federation for Pastoral Care of Hard of Hearing People, Consultant and author of religious lectures for the specialized rubric for deaf people at the Bulgarian National Television, from 1997 to 2007, Membership at the Union of Bulgarian Journalists from 2005 to date, Director, The All Faiths Network, London, United Kingdom, from 2013 to 2016 and Global Council Trustee of URI Europe Global Council Trustee from 2014 to 2021.
