Global Interfaith University co-hosts 5-Day International Online Yoga Workshop

A 5-day International Yoga Workshop was successfully organized through a collaborative initiative between Global Interfaith University and Tezpur College in association with Alfred Nobel University. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from professors, students, and wellness practitioners from all three institutions, making it a truly global academic and holistic engagement.

The workshop was conceptualized and coordinated by Associate Professor. Anurag Hazarika, Senior Faculty Member and Academic Advisor at Global Interfaith University, USA, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce at Tezpur College, Assam. His visionary leadership and meticulous coordination were instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution and academic richness of the program. The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by the Principal and Associate Professor of Tezpur College, who highlighted the growing relevance of yoga in contemporary society, particularly in fostering physical health, mental resilience, and spiritual well-being. The address set a thoughtful tone for the sessions that followed.
The technical sessions of the workshop were conducted by two distinguished international yoga instructors, Namita Lahkar and Hiramoni Kalita, both hailing from Tezpur, Assam. Through the online mode, they delivered comprehensive training sessions that included asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation practices. Their sessions were interactive, inclusive, and tailored to accommodate participants from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
Participants reported significant benefits from the workshop, noting improvements in physical flexibility, mental clarity, stress management, and overall well-being. The cross-cultural academic environment further enriched the experience, fostering dialogue and mutual understanding among participants from India, the USA, and Ukraine.
