ree

We are happy to share the amazing news about the major milestone achieved by our Academic Partner, the African Union University International – AUUI, through the opening of its Learning Center in Sierra Leone and launch of TISBI programs on November 29, 2025. AUU International is recognised by the Tertiary Education Commission and the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education in Sierra Leone (https://www.auuinternational.org/other-pages/auui-academic-partnership-with-tec) and TISBI is one of the biggest Universities in Europe duly accredited by the Ministry of Education in Russia and the number one academic Partner of AUU International. This historic development was also reported on the TISBI website via this link: https://www.tisbi.ru/novosti/klyuchevoy-partner-tisbi-v-afrike

The new AUU International learning center strengthens the strategic cooperation of AUUI, TISBI and its Network of Accredited Partner Universities and opens access to educational programs of various levels: from micro-diplomas to masters and PhD programmes. Presentations were made by the President of AUU International Professor E. Eric Esoimeme and Vice President Professor P. Allieu Kamara. Mayo College Director of Learning at Mayo College, Dr. Sesay, emphasized the growing role of the college in providing quality distance education.

The University of Management “TISBI” was represented by Vice-President Professor Nikolai Siniak and First Vice-Rector Anna Naida. During the event, it was announced that the launch of joint programmes is scheduled for 2026. The programmes will include micro-diplomas, diplomas, undergraduates, and master’s degrees, combining online learning with full-time academic sessions on the Mayo College campus.

The AUU International, Mayo College and TISBI shareholders cover cooperation with more than 300 African colleges and is supported by a signed memorandum with the African Union University - AUU International, which expands the possibilities of regional interaction. Particular attention is paid to the development of inclusive education - the creation of conditions for the training of students with disabilities. AUUI Partner Universities also plan to launch new programs and further expand the international partnership.

The opening of the AUU International Distance Learning Centre was a significant step in strengthening global cooperation and increasing educational opportunities for Sierra Leonean students. Joint TISBI and AUU International, launched in 2026, will provide flexible learning trajectories, support for regional educational infrastructure and the development of the international academic space.
