Associate Professor Alina Oleksiivna Borysova
Alina Oleksiivna Borysova is an Associate Professor at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture (KhSAC) in Ukraine, where she also serves as the Head of the International Relations Department. In her administrative role, she oversees international cooperation, fostering partnerships, organizing academic mobility programs, managing protocol and visa support for visiting delegations, and coordinating international events. Her leadership in these areas enhances KhSAC’s global engagement and collaborative opportunities.

Academically, Dr. Borysova holds a Candidate of Psychological Sciences degree, equivalent to a PhD in psychology. Her research interests focus on the application of psychology within cultural and educational contexts, emphasizing the development of cultural competencies, pedagogical methods, and intercultural communication. She specializes in exploring how psychological principles can enhance theatre and arts education, aiming to improve teaching methodologies and foster creative and cultural development.

In her teaching practice, Dr. Borysova conducts courses on psychology, pedagogy, and communication, enriching students’ understanding of the psychological aspects underpinning cultural and artistic education. She has authored or co-authored over 50 scientific and methodological publications, covering topics such as theatre education, cultural competencies, and innovative pedagogical approaches. Her research often involves international collaboration, contributing to the understanding of cultural and creative skills necessary for succeeding in contemporary arts and education.

Beyond academia, Dr. Borysova is a founder of the Experimental Workshop of Theatrical Research “ECMATEDOS,” an artistic acting school at KhSAC. The workshop promotes avant-garde theatrical training and has garnered recognition through awards at international arts festivals. She also organizes interregional and international theatre festivals and cultural events, fostering cultural exchange and artistic innovation.

A member of the National Union of Theater Workers of Ukraine, her professional achievements reflect her standing within the Ukrainian arts community. Her work at KhSAC, a leading Ukrainian institution specializing in arts, culture, and communication, underscores her dedication to advancing arts education, intercultural dialogue, and theatrical research.
