Prof. Md. Shahriar Parvez
Prof. Md. Shahriar Parvez is an esteemed international academic, researcher, advisor, and motivational speaker renowned for his significant contributions to development economics, human resource management, education leadership, and multi-sectoral research. His work has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Chancellor’s Gold Medal, along with several distinguished academic and professional credentials from the USA, Canada, and Europe. Notably, he holds a Doctor of Business Administration (honored by AMC, USA), Certified Human Resource Consultant (CHRC, USA), MDHRM (Canada), PDSL (USA), and degrees such as MDS, MBA (Valedictorian), and BBA. Additionally, he has received an Honorary DBA (PLOU, USA) and a Doctorate (Honoris Causa) in Organizational Leadership, recognizing his global academic and social impact.
Prof. Parvez is the Founder and Chairman of the Independent Perception and Research Hub Bangladesh, Vice Chairman of Ershad Group, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of ACU, NG. He serves as an Academic Advisor and Professor of Development Economics at GIU, USA, Rector and Professor at ACHM Bangladesh, and Country Director of the Euro-Med Research Business Institute (EMRBI) in the European Union. His leadership spans academia, research institutions, think tanks, and international development organizations.
With a 20-year career, Prof. Parvez has excelled in teaching, research supervision, academic management, and program leadership. He has held prominent roles such as Chairman of the Department of Business Administration at City University Bangladesh and led initiatives under the UGC and World Bank-funded projects. His research encompasses Finance, Banking, Development Economics, Tourism, Microfinance, Microinsurance, Financial Tourism, Eco-Tourism, and interdisciplinary fields like Marketing and Social Sciences. He has published 29 research papers and contributed to a book chapter with YYCI, UK.
A dedicated social activist and global education advocate, Prof. Parvez was awarded the Certificate of Ambassadorship by SPSC UK in 2023 for his role as a UN SDG 4 – Quality Education Ambassador. His international affiliations include roles as Vice Chairman of Ershad Group, advisor positions in Brussels and Bangladesh, and editorial responsibilities for global journals. Known for humility and a commitment to knowledge as a tool for freedom, Prof. Parvez’s work continues to influence academia, industry, policy research, and international development efforts worldwide.
