Global Interfaith University Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) Overview

Global Interfaith University's Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) is a professional doctorate that may be earned by a minister of religion while concurrently engaged in some form of ministry. It is oriented toward ministerial leadership. The Degree is for ministry professionals who desire to enhance their leadership skills and theological imagination. The Doctor of Ministry degree will make graduates stand out as ministers, missionaries, or teachers of theology. The goal of our Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) is to prepare expert ministry professionals to research and implement practical ministry skills grounded in firm biblical principles. The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) equips Ministers to synthesize the theology with the current ministry climate to address a specific ministry problem.


Learning and teaching

The Course is taught by expert academics and professors, including industry professionals and postgraduate researchers with years of experience. The modules are taught through a combination of Online, Distance Learning lectures and seminars, where students also have the opportunity to discuss any issues with their tutors and fellow students. Each student is assigned an Academic Advisor/Supervisor from the beginning of the Course, and especially while they work on their Dissertations. Global Interfaith University also encourages independent study, which helps students to develop their skills and pursue their interests even more intimately.


Duration of the Program

Our Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) is completed within three (3) years, with an extension where a student is unable to complete the modules within the stipulated period. The University does not charge any extra or additional fees for the extension. Each Semester lasts for three (3) months. Therefore, our Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) lasts for a period of twelve (12) Semesters.
