Program Overview
Interfaith dialogue is the constructive, positive, and cooperative communication or interaction between people of different religious traditions and/or spiritual or humanistic beliefs, including those who are not affiliated with a particular religion. The benefits of interfaith dialog include promotion of respect and diversity, development of a more cohesive community, restoration of trust, and reduction of the feeling of threat. Global Interfaith University’s MA Interfaith Studies provides an amazing opportunity to participants to explore both the internal nature of religious beliefs, faiths and spiritual traditions, and how the positive interactions among the different religions, faiths and spiritual traditions in our contemporary world impact historical and social relationships.
Students who enroll for our MA in Interfaith Studies are exposed to several topics focusing on the history and practices of the world’s religions and faiths, including the special connections between faith and science, ethics, sociology and culture. The MA in Interfaith Studies engages students from diverse religious, faiths and spiritual traditions and backgrounds in the study of various disciplines of religion and faith. Through independent study, creative research and mentoring support, students with the tools and skills for interesting career prospects in organizations or institutions with needs for interconfessional competencies.
Admission Requirements
Applicants for our MA in Interfaith Studies must have a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from any recognized or accredited educational institution. Those without a Bachelor’s Degree may be considered if their educational levels and experiences are deemed sufficient, but such candidates may be required to undertake some short bridge courses before finally enrolling for the MA in Interfaith Studies. The Course is offered in English.
